The Challenge
Snap Install partnered with Legrand | AV at their new MN office to install two DVLED video walls, including a large-scale 8x3 landscape display and a complex 5x10 stair-step configuration. With no prior site survey, our team assessed conditions and adapted in real time over the tight deadline of just 2.5 days. Additionally, Snap Install Project Management was on-site for field support, adding another layer of coordination while maintaining project efficiency.
The project presented a challenge when some DVLED panels arrived damaged, with broken pixels discovered during installation. Because the displays were older, replacement tiles were limited, leaving little margin for error. The team also encountered missing equipment necessary to complete the stair-step video wall, further complicating progress. As with most DVLED installations, achieving seamless alignment across the displays proved to be both time-intensive and technically demanding.
Our Solution
To navigate these challenges, our technicians took a highly meticulous and controlled approach throughout the installation process. Understanding the limited availability of replacement panels, every component was handled with extreme care to preserve the integrity of the remaining materials. The team repeatedly removed and reinstalled tiles to make incremental adjustments to achieve the best possible visual consistency across the video walls. While this significantly increased time on-site, it ensured the highest quality result.
Despite delay in the delivery of the missing equipment for the stair-step display, our team adapted on the fly, prioritizing what could be completed while maintaining clear communication with the client. The absence of a site survey made flexibility essential, and our technicians relied on their expertise to problem-solve in real time and keep the project moving forward.
