The Challenge
Snap Install, Inc. installed a large-format, custom-built Direct View LED (dvLED) video wall to enhance the experience of a credit union branch .
The project posed several unique challenges, requiring an expert installation team. First, the space was architecturally complex, including a sloped ceiling, and a sculpted wall surface with a variety of textures. Additionally, the branch required a custom shape for the display, instead of a standard rectangle. On the technical side, precise pixel alignment and power/data distribution was critical. With the unconventional layout, each LED panel needed to be meticulously mapped and calibrated to ensure uniformity in color, brightness, and content rendering across the display.
Our Solution
Pre-Installation Planning: The Snap Install team collaborated closely with project managers, and millwork contractors to review architectural drawings to ensure a smooth installation.
Precision Layout & Mounting: Using laser alignment tools and structural templates, the team installed the custom support frame to millimeter-level accuracy. Each LED module was then installed one by one, following a detailed panel map to ensure exact placement within the irregular display outline.
Advanced Calibration: Once all panels were mounted, Snap Install’s team conducted full system testing. This included using grid overlays, color balancing, brightness tuning, and system diagnostics to ensure a seamless visual experience.
The Outcome
The final display is visually stunning, operating reliably in a naturally bright space, and fitting perfectly within the sculpted wall design without compromising performance or stability. This project stands as a testament to the value of expert installation in dvLED technology. Through detailed planning, technical precision, and hands-on problem-solving, the installation team turned a highly custom concept into a fully functional and visually striking digital centerpiece.
