The Challenge
A national supermarket chain requested the deployment of digital display systems across 126 locations within a three-month timeline. The scope included installing single screens with media players in most stores, along with several player-only configurations. While many of the installations were straightforward wall mounts on sheetrock with wood or metal studs, some sites introduced additional complexity with concrete or cinderblock surfaces, and a handful required ceiling-mounted displays. Each installation also needed to ensure the media player was properly connected and online with the required IT network.
Our Solution
Snap Install streamlined execution by completing the majority of installations in a single visit without the need for after-hours work. Standard wall-mounted installs were handled by one technician, while ceiling-mounted displays required two technicians for safe and efficient completion. To save time and reduce costs, traditional site surveys were largely eliminated. Instead, for ceiling-mounted locations, site teams provided photos and completed survey forms in advance, ensuring the team had the necessary information without requiring additional travel.
To overcome communication challenges, Snap Install worked directly with the end-users Project Manager and IT team, enabling faster decisions and minimizing delays. The team also leveraged a shared live spreadsheet to manage scheduling, track progress, and document real-time updates, creating full visibility across all 126 locations and allowing the workflow to quickly become consistent and repeatable.
The Outcome
Over the course of three months, Snap Install successfully completed 126 installations with minimal revisits. Once processes were established, the rollout became highly efficient, resulting in a smooth and scalable deployment across all locations.
