The Challenge
As interest in electric vehicles keeps growing, so too does the number of questions buyers bring to the dealership floor. Customers want to compare models, explore features, and see how the options fit their needs before they're ready to commit, most often at their own pace without waiting on an associate who's helping someone else.
Kia needed a consistent way to support those conversations across its nationwide dealer network, so the EV lineup had the same clear, confident presence in every showroom. Each location came with its own layout, site conditions, installation requirements, and scheduling constraints, and a successful rollout depended on understanding those details before any equipment arrived.
Our Solution
Kia joined forces with Automotive Broadcasting Network (ABN) powered by Spectrio and Snap Install to bring large-format displays and interactive kiosks into its dealerships, upping the ante on the EV showroom experience. The displays gave the lineup a stronger presence in the space, while the kiosks gave customers a self-guided way to review vehicle information, ownership benefits, and customization options throughout the buying journey.
Phase 1 covered three installation configurations:
- 75-inch display and kiosk
- 98-inch display and kiosk
- 2x2 video wall and kiosk
Each configuration also included media player equipment, a WattBox, and a router.
Snap Install supported the field deployment across the network, beginning with site surveys that documented each location's layout, conditions, and installation requirements using a customized form built to capture the right details. That gave the project team what it needed to plan around the realities of each dealership before installation was scheduled.
Installation crews followed once surveys were complete, with two to four technicians per site depending on the configuration. As variations and site-specific conditions came up, Snap Install's project managers worked alongside Spectrio's to resolve height restrictions, product availability, and scheduling complexities.
The Outcome
Phase 1 was successfully completed within one year, delivering consistent, high-quality installations across Kia dealerships nationwide.
The rollout gave Kia a consistent in-showroom resource for EV education, shopper exploration, and sales conversations, answering questions at the exact moment buyers are weighing one of the less familiar purchase decisions on the market. It also created a repeatable deployment structure built for the realities of a national dealership network, accounting for site surveys, scheduling, installation requirements, and return visits.
With Phase 1 complete, Kia has a stronger foundation for future phases of the program, supported by ABN powered by Spectrio and Snap Install.
