The Challenge
Snap Install, Inc. partnered with VoCoVo to help improve a grocery store chain’s in-store communication experience by installing wireless headsets, allowing multiple users to talk and listen simultaneously without interrupting workflows or customer interactions. With over 70 locations, each site required an in-depth site survey including taking photos and measuring signal strength around the store to determine placements of each base station. These were recorded on a site map to ensure the headsets don’t lose signal, regardless of where they are located in the store. Our warehousing team managed all receiving of product and custom kitting for each location to be shipped out to our nationwide technicians.
Our Solution
Our technicians successfully installed base stations on the ceilings of the stores, and ran up to 500ft of Cat6a cable across the ceiling from each of the base stations back to the IT room. Once this was completed, connections were made on the IT rack to bring the system online. Then final testing was done with the VoCoVo headsets to confirm everything was working properly.
A primary challenge was installing a brand-new product with which our technicians had no prior experience. VoCoVo provided on-site support and training for the initial deployment, which proved to be highly effective in ensuring successful installations for the remainder of the rollout.
The Outcome
Snap Install, Inc. successfully deployed the wireless headset solution across all 70+ locations, ensuring flawless signal strength and connectivity. Despite the initial challenge of a new product, our team's efficient project management and effective collaboration with VoCoVo led to a seamless rollout.
