The Challenge

Snap Install, Inc. partnered with Coffman Media to help create a seamless drive-thru experience for a coffee chain’s new location. The project included assembly and mounting of a specialized housing unit onto a pre-poured concrete footing, which was designed to hold two 55-inch outdoor-rated digital displays, along with a speaker and microphone box. A pre-install call was held to ensure the installation would be successful and that client expectations and Snap’s concerns were understood across the board.

Our Solution

The installation of the physical menu board was successful, despite a few challenges. Our technicians used metal brushes to clear dried concrete from the foundation bolt threads, ensuring a proper, secure fit. To expedite the project, our technician took the initiative to complete the internal electrical wiring necessary to get the screens powered on. However, the team encountered a challenge when the site's data lines were found to be inactive. After auditing the site's server rack, our crew determined that the lines would remain offline until the rack was fully completed, as the specific screen models lacked a “Wi-Fi” option. A final site assessment allowed us to identify the specific rear panels needed to complete the installation. Snap sent technicians the very next morning to complete this, which required partially dismounting the screens. Once the rear panels were properly installed, the unit was fully stabilized and presented a professional appearance.
