The Challenge

Wall-mounted monitor arms can be ideal within healthcare settings since they ease obstruent cabling, increase functional space when not in use, and provide trouble free cleaning. The scope of this integration included both dismounting and installing 32 combo monitor arms and wall tracks throughout patient rooms in a live healthcare facility. Due to ever-changing hospital hours and high-volume emergency room activity, nearly all of the scope had to be completed between the hours of 2:00 am and 7:00 am.

Room availability with live patient rooms created uncertainty, and required Snap’s Project Management Team to carefully coordinate their communication with the site’s IT and nursing staff.

Our Solution

To execute this scope successfully, Snap held multiple conference calls in advance of the scheduled arrival to understand the site’s expectations. The on-site service providers were directed by the Snap Project Manager to uninstall and re-install several monitor arms in one visit to navigate the uncertain room availability. To alleviate any disruptions to the patient experience and staff workflow, our on-site service team made intentional efforts to limit the amount of visits required and finished the scope in under 2 weeks.

With all expectations aligned upon completion, Snap’s team has continued to service the facility for their on-going ergonomic implementations.
