Case Study

Installation of Multiple Lift Cabinets at National Hotel Chain

The Challenge

Snap received the task of installing 31 Lift Cabinet units in the guest suites of a national hotel chain, with this specific chain located in the Washington, DC metro area. The scope of work included a physical site survey, staging, de-installation/removal of previous TV stands and the installation of new Lift Cabinets/TVs. Snap Project Manager’s worked directly with the Hotel’s team of Project Managers to ensure all respective suites were accessible. After multiple exchanges to align project expectations, Snap set an Installation timeline to ensure the hotel had little downtime for accommodating guest suite occupancy levels.

The Solution

A pilot installation was executed to gain insight on the time and materials required for the installation of each unit. Following the successful test pilot and in accordance with the determined schedule, Snap crews began the process of transitioning each suite from the old TV stands to the new Lift Cabinet units. With the assistance of dollies, the Snap crew efficiently staged each suite.  All previous components, including cables, TV’s and old stands were removed and disposed of at a local recycling facility. Our crews worked tirelessly to ensure the each new unit and its components were installed to the Hotel satisfaction. Upon completion, every component was tested to confirm they were functioning properly.

The Impact

The Hotel’s overhaul of their TV units was completed on schedule and in scope.  A follow-up conference call was completed to confirm complete satisfaction of the Hotel.  Subsequently, the installation of 31 new Lift Cabinets was a success and the 31 old TV stands were disposed of properly to guarantee limited downtime for suite availability at the location.
